The GamersNexus ‘Amp’ Medium Modmat offers a ground-up design from our team, featuring our customized and uniquely developed anti-static conductive surface to minimize risk of electrostatic discharge into components. The Medium Modmat is a portable, versatile alternative to our Large Modmat series; the Medium mats can easily be rolled and packed into a bag, brought for on-site service or repair, or just rolled-out as a permanent work surface in a smaller space. The ‘Amp’ Medium Modmat is 32” x 16” (~81x41cm) and uses our rubberized anti-static material to protect both the table surface from PC building and to protect the components.

NOTE: Due to an error with the print (does not affect the physical functionality of the mat), the remainder of this production run contains a misprint between the EPS12V and PCIe pinout diagrams; however, to remedy this, we are including a special, one-off PCIe die-cast metal pin with nickel plating and multiple layers of depth, plus two suede pinout diagram cards (with corrected EPS12V pins) that are spot UV treated for additional reflectivity. These cards use a thick cardstock and feature additional pinouts not included on the original Amp Medium Modmat, and in addition to the hole punch for pegboards, are made to be put up as reference material near your work bench. Prior customers of the Amp Modmat were contacted and offered these items and all future customers will receive these as part of the Amp Modmat. This only applies to the Amp.

The ‘Amp’ Medium Mat has a pinout wiring diagrams for quick reference, a motherboard outline (to scale!) with educational labels for new PC builders and a screw-tracking grid for disassembly of heatsinks, shrouds, and chipsets. The video card grid offers front-side and back-side screw tracking for GPUs, making it easier to re-paste and re-assemble cards. The Modmat is not intended for use as a mousing surface or as an active test bench and is most at home as a build surface. The nature of an anti-static conductive mat means that it should be used with components in an off state while building or assembling (isolate components under test from the mat, as it is anti-static conductive).

The Modmat uses anti-static, rubberized material that stays in place and protects your components from electrostatic discharge with its included common ground point and anti-static wrist strap. The Medium Modmat now has two snap locations for the Common Ground Point, better for ambidextrous use. Our wrist straps and common ground points have resistors in-line to even further minimize risk of damaging sensitive components, like MOSFETs, when working on PC parts.
